“Independence Taught Here”

The Rosedale School is a public school within the Austin Independent School District that serves students from all over the District. Created in 1988, Rosedale serves students ages 3-22 with severe special needs, including children who are medically fragile or need intensive behavior support. The School offers individually tailored programs to Austin’s highest special needs students. The mission of the Rosedale School is to support the unique needs of its students and to provide a positive environment that prepares students to live, work and enjoy life in the community. We believe that providing our students with appropriate educational opportunities and quality instruction, as well as abundant care and love, they will increase their independence, improve self-esteem and experience a greater quality of life.
