Transition to Life in the Community (TLC) is an 18+ application-based program for students who are currently receiving special education services in Austin ISD. Students must be between the ages of 18 and 22 and have met graduation requirements. This community-focused program emphasizes gaining the experience and skills necessary to be an active member in the community after graduation. The TLC program is based in the Rosedale School, but students spend the majority of their time engaging in off-campus activites. The program is designed to work with students and their families to develop individualized weekly schedules to prepare for vocational opportunities and community experiences that the student will be continuing after graduation.
